The Cottleville Fire Protection District is divided into two functional units - Operations and Prevention. Operations includes emergency response, training, facilities and vehicle maintenance, public fire education, and specialized rescue operations. Prevention works to ensure the safety of our citizens through plan review, new construction permitting and inspection, as well as annual business inspections.
The Operations Division is the single largest component of the Cottleville Fire Protection District. This division is responsible for fire suppression, emergency medical services, special operations activities, training, information technology, and public fire education. Members of the Cottleville Fire District’s Operation Division respond to over 2,600 calls for help each year.
The goal of the Fire Marshal’s Division is to insure the safety of our residents and the safety of those who work in and visit our district.
The Cottleville Fire Protection District Training Division’s overall goal is to provide our highly qualified firefighters with the training necessary to do their job safely and efficiently, while carrying out the Fire District’s Mission in order to enhance the highest degree of service to the community. The Training Division falls under the supervision of the Assistant Chief of Operations.
