The following information is being provided to help you navigate through the Fire District Permit and Inspection process. Please be aware that the Fire District Permit and Inspection Process is completely independent of any city/county permitting process that may be required for your project. You must have Fire District and city/county approval before you begin construction.
Q: Who is responsible for obtaining the permit? A: While the property owner is ultimately responsible for ensuring that the permit is obtained before work is started, he or she may assign the duty of obtaining the permit to the contractor, architect or other authorized agent. Q: When can I start work? A: The Fire District permit and city/county permit is required to be issued and on the job site when the work starts, except that footings and foundations may be installed (at the owner's risk) before the Fire District permit is issued. About Us

More than 2,500 times every year the firefighter/EMTs of the Cottleville Fire Protection District respond to emergency calls from residents of Cottleville, Weldon Spring, Dardenne Prairie, St. Peters, and O’Fallon, Missouri. The District covers 38-square miles of southwestern St. Charles County and operates four fire stations. Firefighters respond to a variety of emergency situations including fires, hazardous materials incidents, motor vehicle accidents and medical emergencies.
