
All businesses located within the boundaries of the Cottleville Fire Protection District are required to obtain an occupancy permit from the fire district prior to opening for business.
All businesses located within the boundaries of the Cottleville Fire Protection District are required to obtain an occupancy permit from the fire district prior to opening for business as required by Section 111.1 of the 2009 International Building Code as adopted by Ordinance No. 20 which states;
Business occupancy permits are issued by the Cottleville Fire Protection District for those moving into an occupancy that does not require construction renovations to be completed for a new business to open, or at the end of the contruction process.

More than 2,500 times every year the firefighter/EMTs of the Cottleville Fire Protection District respond to emergency calls from residents of Cottleville, Weldon Spring, Dardenne Prairie, St. Peters, and O’Fallon, Missouri. The District covers 38-square miles of southwestern St. Charles County and operates four fire stations. Firefighters respond to a variety of emergency situations including fires, hazardous materials incidents, motor vehicle accidents and medical emergencies.
