Following an unsuccessful experiment, Thomas Edison once said he wasn’t discouraged, explaining that a failed effort was just another step forward in ultimately achieving success. As I reflect on the results of the recent election, I realize that we as a community must continue to look toward what is best for the future of our fire district.
The board meetings for the Cottleville Fire District are held the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month at Fire Station 1, 1385 Motherhead Road, in the training room. Meetings begin at 7pm. The first meeting of the month is a planning session, the second meeting is a regular board meeting.
The Cottleville Fire Protection District would like to remind everyone to change their smoke detector batteries when they change their clocks Saturday/Sunday. In addition, we would like to provide a few maintenance and safety tips regarding smoke detectors.

At approximately 1:10am this morning, the Cottleville Fire Protection District, assisted by Central County Fire and Rescue, responded for a reported house fire at 538 Highfield Drive in St. Charles County.

Cottleville Fire District Firefighters respond to a residential fire at 5 Airline Drive in St. Charles County.
The Cottleville Fire Protection District has received a grant from Enbridge Pipeline for the purchase of two Drager Hydrogen Cyanide (HCN) Detectors totaling $1080.00.
All businesses located within the boundaries of the Cottleville Fire Protection District are required to obtain an occupancy permit from the fire district prior to opening for business as required by Section 111.1 of the 2009 International Building Code as adopted by Ordinance No. 20 which states;
More than 2,500 times every year the firefighter/EMTs of the Cottleville Fire Protection District respond to emergency calls from residents of Cottleville, Weldon Spring, Dardenne Prairie, St. Peters, and O’Fallon, Missouri. The District covers 38-square miles of southwestern St. Charles County and operates four fire stations. Firefighters respond to a variety of emergency situations including fires, hazardous materials incidents, motor vehicle accidents and medical emergencies.
