Kids Firefighter Experience

Program Description:

This is a one day kids firefighter experience. Your child will participate in numerous firefighter related activities throughout the day. The activities will include hose operations, search and rescue, radio communications, rope rescue, fire behavior class, physical training and more. The evolutions are designed for children to succeed in learning the basics of firefighting by having a fun and rewarding experience.
Age Requirement:
Participating children must be 7 – 10 years old on the day of the camp.
Schedule:
Arrival time is before 8:30. You can drop your child off or you can stay with him/her. Scheduled activities will begin at 9:00 am and will end at 2:30 pm. Parents and family are encouraged to attend the afternoon portion.
Lunch/Snacks:
Lunch will be provided for the participants. Water and granola bars will be provided at designated snack times. Your child is welcome to bring a sack lunch and their own snacks/drinks, but will only have access to them during designated times.
Cost:
Your cost for the day is $65. That covers the cost of the personalized fire “gear”.  If your application is accepted, you will receive an emailed invoice.
Residency:
Preference in application acceptance will be given to residents of Cottleville Fire Protection District.
